Hot dipped Galvanized Chassis
To ensure your chassis can stand the test of time, galvanization is a critical final step in creating a strong and durable frame. At Roadking, we offer a hot dipped galvanized finish, coating our steel in a thin layer of zinc at incredibly high temperatures. Once cooled, the zinc reacts with the oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air, forming a protective layer of zinc carbonate across the chassis.
This process is used to protect the steel chassis from rust and corrosion – a critical addition to any caravan or trailer.
A hot dipped galvanized chassis is easy to identify, thanks to the crystalline-patterned surface on the steel, sometimes called ‘spangle’. As experts in the process, you can be sure your trailer will stand the test of time.
